Forest School

At Kate Greenaway, we run weekly Forest School sessions, taking small groups of children to the nearby Camley Street Natural Park to explore, play, and learn in nature. These sessions offer rich opportunities for physical development, confidence-building, and independent thinking as children climb, build, dig, and discover the world around them.

Working in small groups helps children form strong relationships, develop social skills, and engage deeply with their environment. Forest School encourages curiosity, resilience, and problem-solving through hands-on, child-led experiences that follow the rhythm of the seasons.

Spending time in nature supports well-being and fosters a lifelong love and respect for the natural world—an important part of our approach to helping children grow into capable, confident learners.
