All you need to know about applying for a place in our nursery

Kate Greenaway is a London Borough of Islington Nursery.  We work to the Islington Council’s Admissions Policy, our staff are employed by the Council  and our fee charges are set by Islington Council.

We operate a ‘criteria list’ rather than a waiting list. This means we aim to allocate places to families that have requested the days/hours that the available place includes. The amount of time your application has been with us does not effect your likelihood of being offered a place.

Get extra funding for your early years provider

Your child’s early years education provider could get up to £353 per year to help with your child’s education. This will be paid direct to your provider.

There is availability in the Explorers Room (under 2's) for September 2024.

There is availability in the Navigators Room 2-3's for September 2024 (Term Time Only)

If you have already sent us an application, it is currently being reviewed. 

Tours of the Nursery

Tours of the nursery take place fortnightly on Wednesday mornings from 10.30 until 11.30am and on Wednesday evening at 5pm (Please be aware, tours do not take place during the half terms or holidays). In order to request a place on the next available tour, please email kategreenaway.eyc@islington.gov.uk  or call our office on 0207 527 4850.
